The Walt Whitman Project recommends: Francis Morrone Lecture on Early Brooklyn Architecture Francis Morrone will talk about early Brooklyn architecture including what Brooklyn looked like in the days of Walt Whitman when he was associated with the Brooklyn Apprentice's Library in 1835. This talk is part of a series celebrating the 185th anniversary of the founding of the Library that is the nucleus of the Brooklyn Museum. Mr. Morrone is a historian, journalist and author of six books, including architectural guidebooks to New York City, Philadelphia, and An Architectural Guidebook to Brooklyn, published in 2001.
